Ottawa 67\'s Open on the Road

The Ottawa 67's will open their 2004-05 Ontario Hockey League season with two road games in Sudbury this Friday, September 24, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. (Team 1200, no TV) and on Sunday in Sault Ste. Marie at 2:00 p.m. (CFRA, no TV) before the 67's return home to play their first game in the newly refurbished Ottawa Civic Centre on October 1st, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.

The 67's will "officially" unveil the new theatre-style seats in the Civic Centre, which are wider and more cushioned instead of the old, hard plastic seats for their Home Opener against those same Sudbury Wolves.

There are still over 2000 great seats available for the Home Opener, despite not having as many entertainment options National Hockey League work stoppage.

"We are still awaiting the dramatic effects on our attendance that have been predicted by many," explains Ottawa 67's Owner and Governor, Jeff Hunt. "To this point, those effects have not yet materialized and we are still having to work hard to sell out our home opener as well as the rest of our home games."
