Oshawa Generals Acquire Matt Mistele from Plymouth Whalers

Oshawa, ON - Oshawa Generals General Manager, Roger Hunt announced today that the Oshawa Generals have acquired Matt Mistele from the Plymouth Whalers in exchange for Ryan Moore and Guelph's fourth round pick in 2015 along with the Oshawa Generals sixth round pick in 2016, fourth round pick in 2017, third round pick in 2019, and second round pick in 2020.

Acquiring Mistele follows an earlier trade from today in which Chase Pearson and the Generals second round pick in 2021 and third round pick in 2018 were traded in exchange for Ryan Moore of the Windsor Spitfires and the Generals fourth round pick in 2015.

Matt Mistele is a 6'2", 190 lb. left-winger from Whitby, ON. He has tallied 42 points (24 goals, 18 assists) in 35 games played with the Whalers this season. Mistele was drafted in the sixth round, 180th overall to the Los Angeles Kings in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Oshawa Generals General Manager, Roger Hunt says, "Getting a local kid was important to us and I had talked to Plymouth since September. Matt is coming into the team as a goal scorer and he is someone that adds another weapon to our arsenal."
