O's Fall in Tenth Frame, 6-3

MISSOULA, MT - Three Chukar runs in the 10th decided Tuesday night's ballgame, as Idaho Falls (19-15) topped the Missoula Osprey (19-17), 6-3, at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. With two games remaining, the Osprey must win out to keep their name in the hat for the top spot in the North.

LHP Chih-Ting Wang (4-1) earned the win for Idaho Falls in a controlling five innings of work, not allowing a run on three Osprey hits.

Osprey RHP Ryan Fritze (1-2) took the loss, giving up the two home runs in the top of the 10th .

Idaho Falls found the scoreboard first, with Osprey starter Austin Pope giving up a three-run blast in the first frame. Despite the early scoring, the Osprey offense responded not long after.

Missoula 2B Cam Coursey knocked his first professional homer with a solo shot in the bottom of the 3rd , getting the Missoula bats moving. The O's would tack two more on in the bottom of the 4th to tie up the game, 3-3.

With no action for three innings from either club, Osprey right-hander Mailon Arroyo entered the game with the bases full in the 7th , recording a much-needed strikeout with the bases full to keep the game tied. In a win/loss situation, the Osprey bats couldn't find any runs, sending the game to the 10th .

Idaho Falls broke the five-inning-long scoreless tie with the decisive three runs in the 10th , putting the Chukars out of reach.

The decisive series ends Wednesday night, with a 7:05 start time. Osprey fans are invited to Hope & Healing Osprey Community Outreach Night, gates opening at 6:05.
