Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC loans midfielder Pierre Da Silva to Club Athletico Paranaense of Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for the 2019 MLS campaign.
The 20-year-old was the first player to climb through the ranks of the Orlando City development system as a former Academy and OCB player before signing with the First Team in February 2017.
Da Silva, who is of Brazilian and Peruvian descent, appeared in three matches across two seasons for Orlando City.
During the 2016 season with Orlando City B in the USL, Da Silva made 23 appearances, including 18 starts, which landed him on USL's 20 Under 20 at No. 15. In 2017, Da Silva earned the No. 1 spot.
At the international level, Da Silva scored four goals in 32 appearances for U.S. youth national teams. He was a member of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup roster and was called up to the U.S. U-19 national team training camp that same year.
Orlando City SC and Club Athletico Paranaense entered into a partnership in November 2016. The partnership connects City with a club that boasts a world-class training facility and one of Brazil's top academies.
