
Orioles Option RHP Tyler Wilson to Triple-A Norfolk; Recall RHP Oliver Drake from Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles today announced that they have optioned RHP TYLER WILSON to Triple-A Norfolk. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled RHP OLIVER DRAKE from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson, 25, made two appearances with the Orioles since being recalled on May 18. He made his Major League debut on May 20 by tossing a scoreless inning of relief vs. Seattle. Wilson compiled a 4.50 ERA in two outings while earning his first Major League win on May 22 at Miami.
Drake, 28, has gone 0-1 with a 0.96 ERA (2 ER/18.2 IP) with 30 strikeouts over 16 relief appearances with the Tides this season. He owns a 32-29 record with a 3.45 ERA and 511 strikeouts in 563.2 innings over eight minor league seasons. Drake was selected in the 43rd round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of the United States Naval Academy. Drake's first appearance will be his Major League debut and he will wear number 71.
