Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Reunite with Stars to Begin Three-Game in Three-Day Weekend

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the Texas Stars tonight at 5:30 p.m. PT at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Cedar Park, Texas. Tonight is the second of four regular-season meetings between the two teams.
Familiar Faces: The Ontario Reign and Texas Stars clashed in their first meeting of the season last week Friday at Citizens Business Bank Arena with the Reign prevailing in overtime, 6-5. Defenseman Vincent LoVerde scored two goals and an assist and forward T.J. Hensick added a goal and an assist. Box Score
Pacific-Division Rivals: Last season, the Reign went 6-0-0-0 against the Stars. Forward Sean Backman (four goals, five assists) led the Reign against the Stars with nine points. During the 2010-11 season,Backman skated with the Stars adding seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 67 games.
Milestone Watch: Tonight is forward T.J. Hensick's 650th pro game and forward Michael Latta's 300th professional contest. Over the 649, Hensick holds 157 goals and 370 assists for 527 points. Latta totaled 42 goals and 75 assists for 177 points and 580 penalty minutes in 299 games.
Busy Weekend: The Reign face a three-game in three-day schedule this weekend, their first of two during the 2016-17 season. Tomorrow, the Reign and Stars rematch at 5:00 p.m. PT at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park and visit the San Antonio Rampage at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. PT.
