ALBANY, NY - The Albany Devils and Toronto Marlies are meeting for the first time since Game 7 of the North Division Final during the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs. WHAT TO WATCH FOR

* What Sophomore Slump?: Blake Peitila has emerged as one of the Devils top go-to offensive weapons. The second-year pro is tied for the team lead with three goals and four points after six games. In 58 regular season games last season, he registered 10 goals and seven assists. In seven NHL games, he had a goal and an assist.

* Defending The Den: After six games, the Devils 2.17 goals-against average is sixth best in the AHL. Albany has deployed three different goaltenders, including Scott Wedgewood, who has a 3-1-0 record with a 2.19 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.

* Transaction: The Devils will be without Nick Lappin, who was recalled by the New Jersey Devils Friday morning. The 23-year-old scored his first goal of the season Wednesday and is coming off a 23-game stint with Albany last year after completing his senior season at Brown University.
