Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign and Stars Fight over Pacific Division Points Tonight

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Texas Stars tonight at 7:00 PT at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the second of six meetings between the two teams this season.

Postgame Player Party at Boston's:

Snapping the Skid:

The Reign enter tonight's contest on a three-game losing streak, their first this season.

The Stars At Night Are Big and Bright:

The Stars feature AHL leading scorer in forward Travis Morin (10 goals and 25 assists for 35 points) and forward Devin Shore is second in the AHL with 15 goals.

The Last Time We Met:

The Reign and Stars collided for the first time on Saturday, November 21 in Cedar Park, Texas with the Reign prevailing in a wild 7-6 contest. Reign forward Sean Backman registered a goal and two assists and Stars forward Devin Shore grabbed a goal and three assists.

Budaj Backstopping the Reign:

Goaltender Peter Budaj leads the AHL with a 1.68 goals-against average and 1503:55 minutes played. He has started the last 14-straight games and allowed only one goal in seven of those contests.
