Thursday, Dec. 31 - PENGUINS 2 vs. Syracuse 4

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton scored twice on three power plays, but Crunch goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy kept the Penguins off the scorer's sheet just enough with 28 saves.

Saturday, Jan. 2 - PENGUINS 4 vs. Springfield 1

The Penguins stunned Springfield with four unanswered goals, including three goals in 3:17 of game time, for Clark Donatelli's first win behind the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton bench. Josh Archibald scored his first goal of the season, while Sahir Gill registered a goal for the second-consecutive game.

Sunday, Jan. 3 - PENGUINS 3 at Hartford 2

Another goal-scoring eruption saw the Pens solve the Wolf Pack and improve to 2-0-0-0 in 2016. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton chipped in three goals in 1:49 of game time split between the first and second periods. Rookie goalie Casey DeSmith made 22 saves for his first win in his first AHL start in net.

The Week Ahead

Tuesday, Jan. 5 - PENGUINS vs. Binghamton

Despite sitting at opposite ends of the Eastern Conference standings, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has the narrow edge in the season series with Binghamton, 2-1-0-0 with one win coming in overtime.

Friday, Jan. 8 - PENGUINS at Lehigh Valley

The Penguins travel to PPL Center for the third time this season and sixth meeting of the 2015-16 campaign between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Lehigh Valley. The Phantoms have yet to score a goal against the Pens this season on home ice.

Saturday, Jan. 9 - PENGUINS vs. Utica

The first of two games between the Comets and Penguins and only one to be played at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Utica is 9-5-2-0 on the road this season.

- Casey DeSmith became the second Penguins goaltender this season to earn his first career win in his first AHL start (Tristan Jarry, Oct. 18 at Bridgeport).

- Defenseman Adam Clendening is one game shy of skating in the 200th AHL career contest.

- Penguins rookie Dominik Simon leads all AHL rookies with 29 points (12G-17A) and sits tied at ninth overall in the whole league.

- Carter Rowney's team-leading plus-16 rating is third-best among AHL centermen.
