Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - For the second time in a week the Admirals were shutout as they dropped a 4-0 decision to the Lake Erie Monsters at the BMO Harris Bradley Center Tuesday night.
The Ads, who were blanked by Grand Rapids last Thursday, have now lost two games in a row for the first time since October 29 and 31.
Monsters goalie Brad Thiessen stopped all 19 shots he saw for his first shutout of the season.
After a scoreless first period Manny Malhotra gave the Monsters a 1-0 lead at the 7:46 mark of the second after he converted on a 2-on-1 shorthanded tally.
Lake Erie would make it 2-0 later in the frame Michael Paliotta cleaned up a loose puck in front and beat Ads netminder Juuse Saros with just over five minutes to play.
Dillon Heatherington put the brakes on any Admirals comeback attempts with his second goal of the season 7:19 into the final period.
An empty net goal by Michael Caput finished the scoring on the night.
Saros finished the night with 19 saves and lost for just the second time in his past 15 games, dropping his season record to 14-4.
The Admirals will try to get back in the win column when they head to Grand Rapids on Friday night. Milwaukee's next home game will be Saturday night when they host the Iowa Wild at the BMOHBC at 7 pm.
Tickets for Tuesday, or any Ads game, can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Groups of ten or more can receive great discounts over single game prices. Those interested in booking a group can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
