
Olympic Softball Champion Jennie Finch Will Appear at Security Service Field on Monday, May 17

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are excited to announce that U.S. Olympic Softball Champion and two-time National Collegiate Player of the Year Jennie Finch will be making an appearance at Security Service Field on Monday, May 17th during the Sky Sox 6:05 PM game against the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.
Finch will be on hand promoting her upcoming softball camp which will be taking place on Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th at the Widefield Community Center in Security, CO. As part of her appearance at Security Service Field, Finch will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, underhanded of course, and signing autographs for fans during the second and third innings. In addition, during the game two spots in Finch's softball camp will be given away to two lucky young girls through an in-game promotion. Finch, a two-time National Collegiate Softball Player of the Year (2001 & 2002), led the University of Arizona to the national championship in 2001 and holds the NCAA record with 60 consecutive wins. Finch was part of the 2004 and 2008 US Olympic teams winning Gold in 2004 and Silver in 2008. She was the first female to ever host "This Week in Baseball" and has appeared on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
