LAST GAME: The Oklahoma RedHawks beat the New Orleans Zephyrs 8-2 Tuesday night. Nelson Cruz drove in three runs for the second straight day as Oklahoma won its second consecutive game. Oklahoma plated four runs in an inning for the third time during this series, scoring four in the third off of Zephyrs starter Brian Stokes. The first four RedHawk batters reached base on three singles and an error, and Ryan Robert capped the inning with a two-run triple. Oklahoma added one run in the fourth before New Orleans got on the board in the fifth with a pair of runs off Elizardo Ramirez. The RedHawks added the game's final three runs in the eighth inning. John Mayberry led off the inning with a double, Taylor Teagarden drove in a run with a double one out later, and, after a Travis Metcalf strike out, Drew Meyer walked. Jason Ellison brought home Teagarden and Meyer with the RedHawks second triple of the game for the seventh and eighth Oklahoma runs.

BIG 12 GLORY: Taylor Teagarden extended his hitting streak to 12 games with an eighth inning double last night. The RedHawks catcher has hit safely in each game he has played since May 2 and is hitting .342 during the streak and has driven in six runs. Teagarden, a product of the University of Texas, matches Jason Ellison's April hitting streak for the longest run by any RedHawk player this season. The 12-game string is also the longest current hitting streak in the league now that Colorado Spring's Ian Stewart run was stopped at 14 games with an 0-3 performance Tuesday evening.

FOUR STRAIGHT: The RedHawks have gotten strong starts by their pitchers over the last four games, winning two. Robinson Tejeda, Steve Rowe, Dustin Nippert, and Elizardo Ramirez have allowed seven earned runs over the last four games (and no unearned runs) spanning a combined 25 innings for an ERA of 2.52. The quartet has also combined to strike out 20 batters, thanks in large part to Tejeda's 11 K performance on Saturday in Memphis.

LOE BACK TO THE BIGS: Kameron Loe was recalled to the Texas Rangers roster during the RedHawks off day. The right-hander went 2-3 with an ERA of 5.16 this season for Oklahoma. Texas cleared space for Loe by designating Franklin German for assignment. Loe has spent portions of the previous four seasons on the Rangers roster, including 28 appearances last year.

New Orleans AT A GLANCE: The Zephyrs ERA on the road is nearly three runs higher than their earned run average at home. New Orleans home ERA is 2.87 and 5.69 on the road... The Zephyrs are averaging near one run per game more while on the road this season (4.66 runs per game on the road compared to 3.70 runs per game at home).

TIME CHANGE: The RedHawks have announced one time change that differs from the pocket schedules. Oklahoma's game on June 1 with Omaha is now slated for a 2:05 pm first pitch.

DOT-DOT-DOT: Oklahoma has not won three consecutive games since a five-game winning streak from April 17 through 21... The RedHawks pitching staff did not walk a batter Tuesday night, the seventh time this season they have accomplished that feat... Jason Ellison's hitting streak was extended to seven games with a fourth inning single Tuesday night. ON THE AIR: Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka. Each game will also be broadcast on the internet through the audio link at www.oklahomaredhawks.com.
