LAST GAME: Oklahoma took an early 3-0 lead over the game's first two innings, but Tacoma battled back with 10 runs on 16 hits to win the third game of the four game series by a 10-4 final. RedHawks starter Eric Hurley took the loss after he allowed seven runs spread out over the third, fourth, and fifth innings. Former RedHawk Tug Hulett hit a three-run home run off Hurley in the fourth the give Tacoma a lead the would not surrender. The Rainiers added three late runs against the 'Hawks bullpen, scoring twice on Wes Littleton and once on Kea Kometani. Joaquin Arias, Nelson Cruz, and John Mayberry each had multi-hit games, and Jason Ellison knocked a second inning single to extend his road on-base streak to 14 games.

Regained Control: One day after walking eight times, including four times in the ninth inning to guarantee a win, the RedHawks only received one free pass from Rainiers pitchers. Oklahoma still leads the PCL in walks (by one over Portland).

DOWN DAY FOR DIVISION: Every team in the RedHawks division lost Sunday afternoon, so no one picked up any ground on the Oklahoma. New Orleans lost 9-5 at Portland, Albuquerque fell 11-2 to Tucson at home, and Round Rock lost 3-0 to Las Vegas in ten innings. Conversely, every team in the PCL- Pacific South won their Sunday affairs.

TEJEDA THE STARTER: Robinson Tejeda will make his first start of the season today. The RedHawks right-hander has started 46 games over his professional career, but none this season. He was briefly a member of the Oklahoma rotation last year after having started the season in the Texas rotation and faced Tacoma in his first RedHawks start on July 28. Tejeda gave up four runs on six hits over five innings. He did strike out eight Rainiers, but also walked four.

SCORE EARLY AND OFTEN: Fourteen Tacoma's wins this season have come while leading a game after six innings. The RedHawks are 1-7 when trailing after six.

TACOMA AT A GLANCE: The Rainiers still have yet to lose more than two consecutive games this season. Tacoma has fallen into a three-game trend of losing two then winning one consistently since April 26th... The Rainiers have been caught stealing more than any other team, save Salt Lake. The Rainers have been caught 15 times in 38 attempts, while their division-leading rivals have been caught on 17 of 36 tries.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Texas fell 3-1 at Oakland. Former RedHawks German Duran accounted for all the offense with his first Major League home run... Frisco lost 10-6 to Midland... Bakersfield beat Visalia 8-3... Clinton pounded Kane County 11-4. Ian Gac hit two home runs in the win.

DOT-DOT-DOT: Eric Hurley now leads the PCL with 42 strikeouts after tacking five more on his tally yesterday. Hurley took over the top spot previously held by Tucson's Max Scherzer, who was recently promoted to the Arizona Diamondbacks rotation... Hurley is tied atop the home runs allowed category with Memphis's John Wasdin and Albuquerque's Bobby Keppel. Each has allowed right home runs this year... Oklahoma is tied with Salt Lake for the best fielding percentage in the PCL with a .982 mark. That trails only Toledo and Louisville from the International League (tied at .983) for the best percentage in Triple-A.

ON THE AIR: Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka. Each game will also be broadcast on the internet through the audio link at www.oklahomaredhawks.com.
