Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers look to take the lead in their four-game road series against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. at Werner Park. The series is tied, 1-1. Tonight the Dodgers reach the midway point of their 140-game PCL season with Game No. 70.
Last Game: Rehabbing Kansas City Royals Jorge Bonifacio and Lucas Duda combined to drive in five runs, including three during a four-run rally in the seventh inning to lead Omaha to a 6-3 win over the Dodgers Friday night at Werner Park. Omaha trailed, 3-2, heading to the bottom of the seventh, during which they plated four runs on five hits. Donnie Dewees evened the score with a RBI double, putting runners at second and third with one out. Two batters later, Bonifacio sent a two-run double to deep center field to put the Storm Chasers in the lead. Duda followed with a RBI single make it 6-3. The Storm Chasers retired all six OKC batters after taking the lead. Richard Lovelady (3-1) retired seven of eight batters faced across 2.2 innings to earn the win. With two outs in the first inning, Duda hit a two-run homer to give Omaha a 2-0 lead. The Dodgers got on the board in the fourth when Edwin RÃos sent a RBI double to right-center field. OKC took the lead in the fifth when Connor Joe connected on his first Triple-A homer - a two-run shot out to left field. OKC starting pitcher Guillermo Moscoso turned in five solid innings, giving up two runs and three hits, with one walk and three strikeouts. He retired 13 of the final 15 batters he faced. Moscoso was piggybacked by Drew Hutchison (1-1), who worked the final three innings and took the loss.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Daniel Corcino (2-0) makes his second start with OKC after returning to the team from the Los Angeles Dodgers in mid-June...In his last outing June 17, Corcino held Las Vegas to one run and three hits over 4.0 innings with two walks and tied his season high with six strikeouts. He did not receive a decision in the team's 5-3 win...Corcino had his contract selected by Los Angeles June 9 and made his first ML appearance since Sept. 2014 that night with a 1-2-3 inning against Atlanta. In his next outing June 12 against Texas, he picked up his first career ML save, allowing two runs (one earned) and two hits over 3.0 innings...With OKC, Corcino has allowed two earned runs over his last four starts, including one earned run over his last 16.0 IP...He has allowed one or no earned runs in six of his seven starts with OKC. Opponents are batting .178, and the Dodgers are 6-1 in his starts...He split 2017 between High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Tulsa and Double-A Tennessee (Cubs). He was released by the Cubs April 27, 2017 and signed by the Dodgers May 11, 2017...Corcino made his MLB debut Aug. 26, 2014 for Cincinnati against the Cubs and made five appearances (three starts) in the Majors in 2014...He originally signed as an amateur free agent with the Reds Jan. 11, 2008...Tonight is his second start of the season against the Storm Chasers. He held Omaha to one unearned run June 2 in OKC, allowing four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 6.0 innings in OKC's 4-2 win (ND).

Division foes OKC and Omaha are meeting for their second series of the season and first at Werner Park...The Dodgers won their first series of the season, 3-2, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, with the Dodgers winning the middle three meetings of the series...Each team scored 31 runs in the series. Edwin RÃos paced OKC with nine hits in five games and batted .409 in five games. Kyle Farmer collected a team-best five RBI and scored five runs as the Dodgers batted .302 in the series...On the other side, Frank Schwindel went 10-for-22 with two homers and six RBI...The Storm Chasers won the 2017 season series, 10-7, marking the fifth time in seven years they won the season series, as well as the seventh time in 10 years. The teams split their final series of 2017, 2-2, in OKC, but the Dodgers dropped eight of the last 11 meetings...Entering tonight, the Dodgers have lost seven of their last nine games at Werner Park...OKC is 1-5-1 in the season series since 2011.
A Smoother Road?: The Dodgers are 5-3 in their last eight road games and have won seven of their last 13 away from Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark after starting the season with an 8-12 road record...The three runs scored by the Dodgers last night ended a stretch of eight straight road games in which they had scored at least four runs...Over the last nine road games, OKC has scored 55 runs (6.1 rpg), while batting .298 (98x329). They've scored seven or more runs four times during that stretch...Overall, the Dodgers are slashing .255/.319/.390 and scoring 4.3 runs on 8.8 hits per game on the road this season, compared to .309/.369/.483 with 5.8 runs and 10.6 hits per game at home.
Like A Rock: Rocky Gale had Friday night off, but on Thursday he led OKC with three hits and scored two runs. He has now hit safely in six straight games, going 11-for-22. During the stretch, he has three multi-hit games, four doubles, a triple, five RBI and four runs scored...Behind the dish, Gale leads the PCL with a 43.2 percent caught stealing rate, 46 games played and 397 putouts.
Teach Me How to Dougie: Alex Verdugo connected on his team-leading 65th hit of the season last night and has hit safely in 26 of his last 28 games, going 44-for-115 (.383) with 16 runs scored and 14 RBI. The 28-game stretch includes an 11-game and a 13-game hitting streak. His 13-game hitting streak June 3-18 is tied with Rocky Gale for the longest Dodger hitting streak this season...Verdugo paces the Dodgers with 65 hits despite playing in just 47 games, and his .340 average ranks seventh in the PCL...His 27 hits in June are second-most the PCL, trailing only Fresno's Kyle Tucker (30)...Eight of his last nine hits have gone for extra bases (six doubles, two homers).
Along the RÃos Grande: Edwin RÃos went 2-for-3 with a RBI double last night and has now hit safely in five straight games and in six consecutive starts, going 9-for-22 with six RBI and four runs scored...A hit tonight would tie his longest hitting streak of the season at six games, set May 27-June 3...He has 22 hits through 18 games this month, which ranks second on the club. He paces the Dodgers with four homers this month and is tied for the team lead with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored and six doubles in June.
CWS Memories: This series at Werner Park is concurrent with the 2018 College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha. Four players on the current OKC roster were on teams that made it to the College World Series: Joe Broussard (LSU, 2013), Alex Burg (Clemson, 2006), Tyler Pill (Cal State-Fullerton, 2009) and Josh Sborz (Virginia, 2014-15). Sborz was named the 2015 College World Series Most Outstanding Player, going 3-0 with a save in 13.0 shutout innings.
Around The Horn: Friday's loss was the Dodgers' third when leading after six innings this season, with each of the last two against the Storm Chasers (also June 3)...Angelo Mora reached base three times Thursday night and is tied for the PCL lead with a .492 OBP since rejoining the Dodgers on June 3...The Dodgers are 3-for-31 with runners in scoring position over the last four games, including 0-for-the-last-13...Omaha's five hits in the seventh inning last night is tied for the most hits in an inning by a Dodgers opponent, and it was the first time it happened since May 7 vs. Colorado Springs...The pitching staff's three strikeouts last night tied its season low (4x; last May 23 at Memphis).
