Happy Birthday, Jorge: The Sounds wish happy birthday to shortstop Jorge Mateo who turns 23 years old today.

Mateo's Wheels: Shortstop Jorge Mateo notched his seventh triple of the season in last night's loss to Round Rock. The seven triples is tied for second-most in the Pacific Coast League. The last time a Sounds player finished in the top 5 of the PCL in triples was when Arismendy Alcantara's 10 triples was third-most in the league. Five of his 10 three-baggers came with Nashville.

Naile's Seven for the Sixth Time: Last night's seven-inning start by James Naile was the sixth time this season the right-hander has gone at least seven frames. Naile has six of the nine seven-plus inning starts for Nashville this year. Frankie Montas went eight innings on May 14 and Daniel Gossett went seven innings on May 5 and May 10.
