Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers and New Orleans Baby Cakes continue their five-game series at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers lead the series, 2-1, and have won five of their last six games.

Yesterday's Games: The Dodgers swept both games of a doubleheader against New Orleans Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, winning Game 1, 5-4, in 10 innings and winning Game 2, 5-2. The Dodgers scored the eventual winning run in the top of the 10th of Game 1 on a sacrifice bunt by Angelo Mora that allowed Tim Locastro to score from third base and give the Dodgers a 5-4 advantage. OKC played as the visiting team since they were making up a rainout from New Orleans, and Dodgers reliever Cory Copping retired the side in order in the bottom of the inning to seal the win and pick up his first save with OKC. Prior to the 10th, New Orleans responded in each inning the Dodgers scored. OKC took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning with two outs when Kyle Garlick hit a two-run homer. New Orleans answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning and the game stayed tied, 2-2, through seven innings. The teams then exchanged runs in each of the next two extra innings before the Dodgers took the lead for good in the top of the 10th. OKC reliever Brian Schlitter (4-1) was credited with the win. New Orleans reliever Jeff Kinley (1-1) was hit with the loss...In Game 2, Edwin RÃ-os hit a RBI double into right field for a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Dodgers added four more runs in the second inning on a RBI double by Mora, a two-run double by RÃ-os and a RBI single by Kyle Farmer to make it 5-0. The Baby Cakes scored two runs in the third inning, but neither team scored thereafter. Dodgers starting pitcher Zach Neal (2-0) picked up his second win with OKC, allowing one earned run and four singles over five innings. Ariel Hernandez kept the "Cakes without a hit or run in the seventh for his first save with the Dodgers. New Orleans starting pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne (2-3) was charged with the loss.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Justin DeFratus (2-4) makes his 10th start of the season with OKC tonight, rejoining the team from Double-A Tulsa...His most recent start came July 8 for Tulsa against Frisco. He earned the win after turning in 7.0 solid innings. He allowed three runs and four hits, with one walk and two strikeouts in the team's 10-5 win...He last pitched for the Dodgers in the second game of a June 30 doubleheader in New Orleans. He allowed five runs and six hits over 4.1 innings. He did not issue a walk and recorded five strikeouts in a no decision...Between OKC and Double-A Tulsa over 16 starts, DeFratus is 5-7 with a 5.67 ERA...DeFratus was named PCL Pitcher of Week for May 7-13 after his second career complete game and first career shutout May 11 against Memphis, throwing 89 pitches (64 strikes). It was the first nine-inning shutout by an OKC pitcher since Jake Buchanan May 20, 2014 at New Orleans...The 30-year-old veteran started the season with Double-A Tulsa and was named the first Texas League Pitcher of the Week for 2018...He signed with the Dodgers as a free agent Feb. 17...DeFratus made his MLB debut Sept. 18, 2011 with Philadelphia and appeared in 191 MLB games with the Phillies. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 11th round of the 2007 MLB Draft from Ventura (Calif.) College...Today is second start of the season against the Baby Cakes. He also made three relief appearances against New Orleans in 2016 while pitching for Round Rock and Tacoma.

Against the Baby Cakes: 2018: 8-6 2017: 6-9 All-time: 177-153 At OKC: 94-71 The Dodgers and Baby Cakes are meeting for their fourth and final series of the season. The teams will play five games in four days this week to make up a game that was rained out July 2 during their previous series at New Orleans...The teams recently met for their last series at The Shrine on Airline, June 29-July 3, with New Orleans winning the series, 3-2, and the Dodgers winning the final game of the set, 4-0...During the first series April 13-16 in OKC, the Dodgers swept the series, 4-0, and outscored the Baby Cakes, 29-18, and outhit New Orleans, 56-32, while closing the series with three straight walk-off wins...New Orleans won the 2017 series, 9-6, marking their first season series win against OKC since 2011 and just their second against OKC since 2006...During the 2018 season series between these teams, the home team is 10-4 so far...Henry Ramos has batted .429 (21x49), with four homers, eight extra-base hits and 18 RBI over 14 games versus the "Cakes.

Teach Me How to Dugie: Alex Verdugo hit safely in both games of yesterday's doubleheader and is now on an 11-game hitting streak, going 18-for-40 (.450) with five multi-hit outings, two homers and six runs scored. He has 34 hits over his last 24 games...Verdugo paces the Dodgers with 86 hits in 63 games, and his .350 season batting average is tied for tops in the PCL with Salt Lake's David Fletcher, who is currently with the Los Angeles Angels...Verdugo has eight homers this season after hitting six homers in 117 games last season with the team. Five of his homers have come against New Orleans.

Along the RÃ-os Grande: Edwin RÃ-os hit two doubles and drove in four runs during Tuesday's doubleheader. Over his last 12 games, RÃ-os is 16-for-40 (.400) with six multi-hit outings, nine runs scored and 12 RBI...RÃ-os currently paces the Dodgers with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in July. His 16 hits this month are tied with Kyle Farmer and Alex Verdugo for most among Dodgers players...After missing close to two months at the start of the season due to injury, RÃ-os is slashing .314/.371/.475 over 44 games and he has picked up 17 multi-hit games.

Getting Offensive: The Dodgers scored five runs in both games of Tuesday's doubleheader and have scored at least five runs in seven of their last nine games, including four games with seven or more runs scored. The Dodgers have batted .302 (94x311) during the nine-game stretch and scored 55 runs while swatting 12 homers.

Mound Turnaround?: Yesterday the Dodgers held New Orleans to 10 hits in 17 innings during the doubleheader (10x56), while allowing just one extra-base hit. Of the six runs the Baby Cakes scored, only three were earned against the OKC pitching staff...Over the last four games, the Dodgers have posted a 1.80 ERA (7 ER/35.0 IP) and .174 BAA (24x121), including 6-for-39 with RISP. The team has not allowed a homer in four straight games, tying the season high (five times)...Prior to Sunday, the pitching staff had a 5.83 ERA and 1.72 WHIP, with opponents batting .313 over the previous 23 games.

On the Mend: Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Pedro Báez made the first appearance of his ML Rehab Assignment yesterday and retired all three batters he faced in the sixth inning of Game 2. He threw 14 pitches, including nine strikes...He landed on the DL June 15 (retroactive to June 12) with right biceps tendinitis. With LAD this season, he has 30 relief appearances, going 3-3 with a 3.23 ERA and 36 strikeouts.

Around the Horn: The Dodgers have scored first in eight straight games and are 5-3 during that stretch. The team is 6-7 the last 13 times scoring first after beginning the season 30-5...Kyle Farmer is 8-for-17 with four doubles over his last four games. Eight of his 16 hits this month have gone for extra bases...Kyle Garlick is 2-for-his-last-17, but both hits have been home runs.
