The Salt Lake Bees took home their second straight win with a 5-4 decision over the visiting Las Vegas 51s on Tuesday night.

Las Vegas drew first blood with a RBI single in the first, but Salt Lake responded in the bottom half with a Jared Walsh RBI single to tie things up. In the second Francisco Arcia gave the Bees their first lead with a RBI single of his own. After Vegas regained the lead in the third Jose Miguel Fernandez drove in a pair in the fifth to put the Bees back up for good. Dustin Ackley added an insurance run in the sixth which would prove to be crucial as the 51s scored a run in the ninth, but the Bees were able to hold on.

Matt Thaiss led the way for the Bees offense with a three-hit night while also stealing a pair of bases. Luis Regnifo also had a multi-hit game while scoring a pair of runs. Osmer Morales got the start, allowing three runs over four innings of work. Greg Mahle (3-2) earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief. Ryan Clark came in after a scoreless frame from Akeel Morris to earn his fourth save of the season and the third since the All-Star Break.
