Tulsa Oilers News Release

The Tulsa Oilers have acquired forward Mark Kolanos from the Texas Brahmas in exchange for future considerations.

The 6-foot-1, 186 pound forward from Calgary, is in his third season in the Central Hockey League, after playing four years of college hockey at New Hampshire. "Mark is a proven goal scorer who can add spar to our offense," Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay said.

Kolanos had 31 goals and 31 assists in his rookie season of 2007-08 with the Arizona Sundogs. He was a finalist for rookie of the year and made the all rookie team that season.

He followed with 20 goals and 26 assists in 2008-09. This season with Texas, Kolanos had five goals and five assists for 10 pints in just 14 games with the Brahmas. Included in those totals are a two goal one assist performance against the Oilers in a 4-1 Texas win on December 12th. The Oilers play their first home game in 20 days when they host the Wichita thunder Friday at 7:35 p.m.

Tickets for all Oilers games are available at the BOK Center box office or by calling 1-866-7-BOK CTR (726-5287). Tickets can also be purchased on line at www.tulsaoilers.com and at area Reasor's Grocery Stores.
