
Oilers make trade

Tulsa Oilers News Release
A trade between the Tulsa Oilers and Lubbock Cotton Kings brings defenseman Darren Shakotko (pronounced shuh-KOT-ko) to the Oilers in exchange for defenseman Ryan Moren.
Moren joined the Oilers at the end of the team's training camp, and appeared in all nine of the team's games this season. He appeared in all nine of games and had no or assists, and 15 penalty minutes.
Shakotko comes to the Oilers in his fourth professional season. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound blueliner played in all 60 games for Lubbock last season, helping the Cotton Kings make the playoffs. In 11 games this season with Lubbock, he has one goal and two assists for three points and 22 penalty minutes.
The Oilers begin a four game road trip this weekend in Colorado against the Eagles Friday and Saturday. Both games begin at 8:05 p.m. central time, and can be heard on KMMY FM 97.1. The Oilers next home game is Sunday November 27 against Colorado at 2 p.m.
