Oilers Face Wichita In Home Opener

August 4, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release

Just like the good old days, a traditional rival will be the Tulsa Oilers first home opponent in 2006-07.

The Central Hockey League has announced the Wichita Thunder will visit the Oilers on Saturday October 28th at 7:35 p.m. The CHL plans to release the remainder of its 2006-07 schedule on Monday August 7th.

The Oilers will be playing their 15th season since the rebirth of the CHL in the 1992-93 season. Tulsa has had seven straight .500 or better seasons, the longest stretch in Tulsa pro hockey history. This season the Oilers will compete in the Northeast Division of the 17-team CHL, along with Bossier-Shreveport, Memphis, and Youngstown. Six of the eight teams in the Northern Conference (Northeast and Northwest divisions) will qualify for the playoffs this season.

Oiler season tickets for the 2006-07 season are now on sale. The prices are the same as the 2005-06 season, ranging from $300 to $475. The Oilers have also instituted an automatic payment plan to make purchasing season tickets even easier and more convenient. Also new this year is a 10 game flex pack. For more information call the Oilers at (918) 632-7825.
