TULSA, OK - The Wichita Thunder beat the Oilers 4-2 in Tulsa on Friday night and followed up with another 4-2 win over the Oilers on Saturday to complete a home-and-home sweep. The season series is now even at three games apiece.

Wichita (11-4-0) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with first period goals from Aaron Davis and Thomas Beauregard. The Thunder fired 17 shots on Oilers goalie Ian Keserich in the first twenty minutes while the Tulsa offense mustered just five shots on Adam Russo who picked up his eighth win of the season.

Brett Hemingway scored a second period powerplay goal to give the home team a 3-0 lead. The Oilers took five minor penalties in the period and finished with 18 total penalty minutes.

At the 6:51 mark of the third Andrew Martens made it 4-0 Wichita, but the Oilers continued fight. Ryan Raven finally put a puck past Russo for his second goal of the season and then Jeff Terminesi put in a powerplay goal off a pretty feed from defense partner Sean Erickson. Despite cutting the deficit in half, the Oilers (9-6-2) could not complete the comeback and fell in regulation for just the second time in eight games.

Tulsa gets some much needed rest next week before hosting Bloomington on Friday, Dec. 4th at 7:35pm.
