
Bucks Win Second Straight Game

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, defeated the Texas Brahmas 4-3 for the second night in a row.
The Laredo Bucks began their nine game homestand Saturday night, when they took on the Texas Brahmas. The Bucks, hot off their over-time win Friday in Texas, stuck first only 28 seconds into the contest. Todd Griffith put it past the Brahmas netminder, with assists from Matt Pierce and Jason Rees, making it a 1-0 lead. The Texas Brahmas tied the game at 14:32, when Ryan Hand found the net. The game would remain tied as the period drew to a close. The Bucks were outshot by the Brahmas 14-13 in the frame.
The Bucks jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the second period, as A.J. Hau scored from Ryan Sparling and Matt Hanson. The Brahmas would outshoot the Bucks 10-6 in the period, but Bucks netminder Ryan Rondeau was up to the task.
The Brahmas came out and quickly and tied the game 2-2 at 3:23 in the third period. Then the Brahmas took the lead 3-2 when Adam Hogg scored a shorthanded, unassisted goal. However, the Bucks fought back and tied the game at 16:21 when Todd Griffith got his second strike of the night. He was assisted by Adam Rivet and Erik Boisvert. As the final seconds of the third period ticked away, Rusty Master blasted the game winning goal into the net with 1.6 seconds remaining in the game. Mark Nebus and Adam Rivet had assists on the game winner.
