Tulsa Oilers News Release
The Old joke goes, "Give blood, play hockey" but on Thursday March 5^th , it will be the hockey players encouraging other blood donors.
The Tulsa Oilers will be on hand at the Red Cross Donation Center located at 71^st and Memorial (behind Chuck E. Cheese) on Thursday march 5^th (today) from 4-8 p.m.
Players will be on hand encouraging blood donors, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
"This is all about being part of the community and with one of our own recently having a medical problem (supervisor of off-ice officials Ron Kelly recently suffered a heart attack) it brings it close to home," general manager Taylor Hall said. "They tell us one donation can help save multiple lives, so we're glad to do our part."
The Oilers have their final weekend home games of the season Friday and Saturday. On Friday they host the Mississippi RiverKings and Saturday host the Wichita Thunder. Both games start at 7:35 p.m. at the BOK Center.
Tickets for the Oilers 2008-09 season in the new BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825). Individual game tickets are available at the BOK Center box office, area Reasor's and Homeland Stores or by calling toll free 866-7-BOK-CTR (726-5287).
