
Oil Kings Add Veteran Goaltender Beckett Langkow; Reassign Goaltender Logan Cunningham

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have added 2003-born goaltender Beckett Langkow, the Club announced today.
Langkow, 20, is a Vegreville, AB product and has spent the past three seasons with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
In 83 WHL appearances, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound netminder has compiled a record of 32-38-8-2 with a 3.53 goals-against average, .881 save percentage and one shutout.
He started this season with the AJHL's Spruce Grove Saints going 3-5-0-0 with a 3.12 goals-against average and an .892 save percentage in eight starts.
He is the son of Scott Langkow who was a goaltender with the Portland Winterhawks from 1992-95 and a second-round draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 1993. He would go on to have an 18-year professional hockey career that included 20 games in the NHL with the Jets and Phoenix Coyotes.
In a corresponding move, the Oil Kings have reassigned 2005-born goaltender Logan Cunningham to a team to be determined.
The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is this Saturday, December 9 at 7:00 P.M. when they host their Star Wars Night against the Medicine Hat Tigers.
