Ewan Huet Named to Switzerland's Preliminary Roster for the 2024 World Juniors

Regina, Sask. - Regina Pats goaltender Ewan Huet was one of four CHL players named to Switzerland's preliminary roster for the 2024 World Juniors on Monday.

Huet, 18, has gone 6-9-0-1 this season with 3.60 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 17 appearances. Huet has recorded a .900+ save percentage in 10 of his 17 games this season, as he has played in this season with a .900+ SV% in six of his last nine games. The Lausanne, SUI product has represented Switzerland internationally before, playing for them at U18s in 2022-2023 and the U17s in 2021-22. The 6-foot, 184 lb. goaltender played for Lausanne U20 last season, posting a 2.73 G.A.A in 31 games.

Rodwin Dionicio (Saginaw, OHL) and Miles Muller (Moncton, QMJHL) and Leo Braillard (Lethbridge, WHL) will join Huet. The Swiss will be joined by Czechia, Norway, Slovakia and the United States in Group B in the round-robin. The 2024 World Juniors will take place Dec. 26 - Jan. 5 in Sweden. Switzerland made the quarterfinals for the second straight year in 2023 but were beaten 9-1 by eventual silver medallists Czechia. Their best result came in 1998 when they won bronze.

Camp will begin on Monday, December 11 in Germany.
