UPCOMING GAMES

The Rebels are out east this week for a four-game road trip that starts Tuesday night in Brandon versus the Wheat Kings. They'll take on the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday and will have an off-day Thursday before taking on the Saskatoon Blades Friday and Prince Albert Raiders to wrap up the trip on Saturday. All games this week start at 6 p.m. MT and will be broadcast exclusively on 106.7 REWIND Radio and CHL TV.

CAPTAIN KAI LETS 'EM FLY

It was only fitting that one of the WHL's elite goal scorers would score the most anticipated Rebels goal of the season as Kai Uchacz scored with 10.7 seconds left in the first period Saturday night versus Everett to make it rain at the Peavey Mart Centrium on Toque and Teddy Bear Toss Night. Rebels fans were generous in tossing thousands of stuffed animals, toques and other winter clothing items to the ice in support of the Red Deer Christmas Bureau.

Stonewall stoesser

Second year netminder Rhett Stoesser is the Mitchell and Jewel Rebels Player of the Month for November. Stoesser was a sparkling 6-1-0-1 record in nine appearances last month with a .936 save percentage, 1.65 goals-against average and two shutouts. The Carstairs, AB native is fifth in the WHL this season in goals-against average (2.41) and sixth in save percentage (.916). Stoesser was the WHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending November 19.

JOSEPHSON ON THE MARK

It was a November to remember for Ollie Josephson, on and off the ice. On the ice the sophomore centre from Victoria, BC authored a career high six-game point streak that carried over into December. Off the ice, he was honoured as the Rebels Telus Scholastic Player of the Month and received a brand-new Apple Watch courtesy of Telus.
