Oil Kings Acquire Friedt-Mohr from Spokane

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired defenceman Chase Friedt-Mohr from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a conditional eighth-round 2024 WHL Draft pick, the team announced today.

Friedt-Mohr, 18, has appeared in 15 career WHL games from 2019-21, putting up two points (1G, 1A), four penalty minutes and a -4 plus/minus rating.

The Prince Albert, SK product is currently playing with the Kindersley Klippers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where in 20 games he has collected five points (1G, 4A) and 43 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot, 196-pound rearguard was originally acquired by the Chiefs in the 2018 WHL Draft when they selected him with their fifth-round pick.
