Brandon, MB - Plans for the 25th annual Brandon Wheat Kings Teddy Bear Toss are well underway.
The event presented by Shoppers Mall Brandon is scheduled for Saturday, December 11th when the Regina Pats come to town.
"The Teddy Bear Toss is always one of the most fun games on the schedule," said Director of Game Day Operations Chris Falko. "It's a feel-good game, that really brings the energy and excitement of the holiday season into the arena."
This year, all donations will go to Westman Christmas Cheer. While stuffed bears are the theme of the night, fans are asked to consider donating toques, mitts, scarves, and other winter clothing items as well.
All items are to be bagged prior to being tossed on the ice. The BWK Team Store will have plastic bags available if needed.
Every student from kindergarten to grade four will receive a game ticket this week, thanks to our generous partners:

"Even though we didn't have an official Teddy Toss last year, our community still came together and showed support of our drive thru event," added Falko. "We have a special fanbase here that truly knows the importance of giving back and I look forward to seeing the bears rain down on Saturday night."

On the ice, the Wheat Kings open a stretch of four games in five nights tomorrow night when the Medicine Hat Tigers come to town. Join us for Student Night, with $3.00 BWK Lager all night long and $12.00 tickets for everyone with a valid University or College I.D.
