PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz- The Allen Americans defeated the Arizona Sundogs Saturday night, 6-3. The victory makes the Americans a league-best 11-2-0 on the road this season.

Bruce Graham opened up the game with a power play goal at 8:29 from Judd Blackwater and Dave Bonk. The Allen power play went right back to work after the Graham goal, and Colton Yellow Horn quickly cashed in to make it 2-0 in favor of the Americans.

The special teams festival continued in the second period, as Tyler Butler scored for the Sundogs with the extra-man, cutting the Allen lead to 2-1.

Allen wasted no time extending its lead, scoring at 9:48 on a Greg Gallagher goal, and 12:52 on a Judd Blackwater marker.

Adam Smith kept it close with a goal at 13:13 in the second, and then scored at 8:53 of the third. Smith's pair made it a 4-3 game with half of the third period left to play.

Judd Blackwater provided some distance for the Americans, scoring at 13:44 to make it a 5-3 hockey game. Blackwater's goal was his fourth point of the night.

Tobias Whelan's shorthanded goal at 17:19 gave the Americans a 6-3 lead, which is how the game would end. Adrien Lemay got the win in net for the Americans, stopping 40 of 43 shots to improve to 7-1-0 for the season.

Allen's victory gives them a 15-4-0 record, which keeps them at the top of the heap in the Central Hockey League.

The Americans will return home December 4th and 5th to play host to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and Laredo Bucks.
