OF Hazelbaker Rejoins Isotopes, INF Arruebarrena Recalled to Los Angeles

Outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker rejoined the Albuquerque Isotopes this afternoon, and in a corresponding move, infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena was recalled to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Hazelbaker has appeared in 21 games for the Topes this season, batting .230 with three doubles, two triples, four home runs and 11 RBI. In 46 games for Chattanooga this year, he hit .285 with five doubles, seven triples, three homer and 23 RBI. He began the year withChattanooga before initially joining Albuquerque on May 29.

Arruebarrena went 4-for-13 (.308) with a double and an RBI in six games during his first call-up with the Dodgers before he was optioned to Albuquerque on June 5. After going 0-for-9 in hisfirst two games with the Isotopes, the 24-year-old has hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games, batting .410 (25-for-61) with three doubles, two triples andeight RBI. Overall, he batted .357 (25-for-70) with a .410 on-base percentage in 20 games with the Isotopes.

Albuquerque looks for its second series win against the El Paso Chihuahuas this season with the finale of a four-game series at Southwest University Park beginning at 6:35 p.m. Right-hander Stephen Fife (2-2, 5.83 ERA) will take the hill for the Topes, while the Chihuahuas will go with righty Chris Smith (0-0, 1.50 ERA).
