
OF Franklin Guzman Placed on DL

The Boston Red Sox have announced a series of roster moves affecting the Salem Red Sox. OF Franklin Guzman has been placed on the seven-day disabled list and OF Jayce Ray has been received from Double-A Portland. Please note the following changes:
TO DL: OF Franklin Guzman
ADD: OF Jayce Ray
Guzman is hitting .203 in 21 games for the Red Sox with two doubles, a triple and six RBI.
Ray joins the team from Double-A Portland where he was 0-for-6 in two games. He has also played for Low-A Greenville, hitting .378 in 12 games. He is in first year in the Red Sox organization after being signed out of the independent American Association last October.
Ray will wear number 25. The Red Sox roster sits at the Carolina League maximum of 25 players with three on the disabled list.
