OF Alex Presley was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization and added to Charlotte's active roster today. Presley, 32, hit .275 (30-for-109) with 19 runs scored, five doubles, one triple, one home run and eight RBIs in 26 games earlier this season with the Norfolk Tides. He was signed by the Baltimore Orioles as a free agent on February 19, 2018. A native of Monroe, LA, Presley has appeared in parts of eight major league seasons and has compiled a .263 career batting average with 369 hits, 157 runs scored, 50 doubles, 19 triples, 29 home runs, 111 RBIs, and 30 stolen bases. He was originally selected in the eighth round of the 2006 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
