Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release

MOOSIC, PA. - The New York Yankees have transferred Tommy Kahnle's rehab assignment from the Charleston RiverDogs to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Kahnle was placed on the 10-Day Disabled List on April 17 with right shoulder tendinitis.

Kahnle was originally drafted by the Yankees in 2010, but was a Rule 5 pick by Colorado in 2013. The Rockies traded him to the Chicago White Sox in 2015 and New York reacquired Kahnle on July 18, 2017, in a trade along with Todd Frazier and David Robertson.

In one rehab appearance with the Charleston RiverDogs, Kahnle worked two innings, allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will return home after this series in Rhode Island, returning to PNC Field on May 25 for a four-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs. Tickets are available online now at swbrailriders.com.
