'Nuts Fans Attempt to Break World Record Saturday

WICHITA, KS - The Wichita Wingnuts will attempt to break the world record for largest game of "Duck-Duck-Goose" this Saturday night when the team faces the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The world record attempt is part of the Wingnuts' "Ducked Dynasty" promotion and will take place on-field at the conclusion of the game. All fans are invited to participate and can pick up a numbered wristband near the first base entrance immediately following the last pitch. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the current benchmark is 2,165 participants. The first 500 fans in attendance receive a duck call, courtesy of the Midwest Huntfest.

All children who participated in the Wingnuts' annual summer reading program receive free admission to the game on the 24th. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Wingnuts begin a six-game homestand this evening with a double header against the Gary SouthShore RailCats. First pitch for game one is set for 5:05 p.m. Tickets dated for either Tuesday, August 13th or Wednesday, August 14th will be honored for both games. Beginning this season, fans can use cash at all points of sale in Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Debit and credit cards will still be accepted.
