
Nuts Fall in Marathon 12-10 Loss

Modesto Nuts News Release
Modesto, CA. - In a marathon battle at John Thurman Field, the Modesto Nuts fell 12-10 to the Ports in 17 innings over six hours on Friday night.
A wild pitch and RBI single by Seth Brown broke the dead lock in the 17th. For the Nuts (3-5) infielder Luis Jean (L, 0-1) pitched three innings. The righty allowed just two runs on three hits with one strikeout.
For the Ports (4-4), 1B John Nogowski (W, 1-0) worked four innings and allowed just two hits with two strikeouts in his first chance on a pro mound.
The Nuts had tied the game, erasing a six-run deficit, on a two-out, two-run triple by Forrest Wall in the eighth.
The Ports retook the lead in the tenth on a Mikey White RBI single. Forrest Wall again tied the game in the bottom of the 10th with a RBI double. Wall finished 5-for-8 with four RBI.
