PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey's National Team Development Program enters the weekend with a 24-18-1-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record across all competitions.

U.S. National Under-17 Team

With no games this week, the U.S. National Under-17 Team (7-13-0-2) will resume play on Tuesday (Dec. 11) against Slovakia when USA Hockey Arena hosts the 2018 Under-17 Four Nations Tournament presented by Hines Park Lincoln.

Last week, the U17s lost 5-3 against the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday (Nov. 30) at USA Hockey Arena. Waterloo took a 3-0 lead in the first period, with NTDP alum Joey Casetti (NTDP 2015-17) scoring once for the Black Hawks. Chase Yoder (Fairview, Texas) scored first for the U17s, and Landon Slaggert (South Bend, Ind.) tallied a goal with 1 minute, 3 seconds remaining in the second period to cut the deficit to one, but another goal from Waterloo extended its lead to 4-2 going into the third. Jacob Truscott (Fort Gratiot, Mich.) scored Team USA's third goal, but Waterloo ultimately took the first game of the weekend. Drew Commesso (Norwell, Mass.) and Noah Grannan (Germantown, Wis.) made a combined 20 saves in the loss.

U.S. National Under-18 Team

The U.S. National Under-18 Team (17-5-1-0) will host the Youngstown Phantoms at USA Hockey Arena on Friday (Dec. 7) at 7 p.m. ET, and the University of Maine Black Bears on Saturday (Dec. 8) at 7 p.m. ET.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team recorded a 3-1 win over the Waterloo Black Hawks on Saturday (Dec. 1). Case McCarthy (Clarence Center, N.Y.) scored the opening goal for the U18s in the second period. Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis.) added his 19th of the season to put the U18s ahead by two, and a third goal from Michael Gildon (Plano, Texas) helped secure the win. NTDP alum Joey Cassetti (NTDP 2015-17) scored the lone Black Hawks goal in the third period. Goaltenders Cameron Rowe (Wilmette, Ill.) and Spencer Knight(Darien, Conn.) made a combined 35 saves in the victory, and the U18s outshot Waterloo by a 40-36 margin.
