Nodler and Fiedler Selected to USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

FARGO, ND - Forward Josh Nodler and defenseman Cedric Fiedler have been selected to represent the Fargo Force in the 2019 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game to be held at the Ice Box in Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Fiedler will play for Team West and Nodler will represent Team East.

The showcase weekend for NHL Draft-eligible players will start with off-ice measurements and testing conducted by the NHL Central Scouting Service on Monday, Jan. 7 before the game on Tuesday night. Nodler and Fiedler were both given C ratings from the NHL CSS in their Nov. 12 Players to Watch list. The C rating indicates that players are considered draft prospects in the 4th, 5th, or 6th round range.

Nodler is having a great first season in the USHL after being selected by the Force in the first round of the 2017 USHL Futures Draft. The 17-year-old out of Oak Park, Michigan is third on the team with 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 21 games this year.. Nodler scored 22 (4-18-22) points in 18 games for Honeybaked U16 last season. He also appeared in four games with the USA NTDP last year. Nodler is committed to play college hockey at Michigan State University.

Fiedler is also in his first season with the Force after growing up in Switzerland. The six-foot-three defenseman has 3 points (3 assists) in 10 games for the Force this season. He had 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 43 games for Zug U17 and U20 in the 2017-18 season. The 17-year-old is committed to Western Michigan University.
