QUOTES
New York City FC Head Coach Ronny Delia:
On what he's seen in Jesus Medina...
"I love Jesus. He is a fantastic player and works really hard for the team. He works hard every day to improve. He's still only [24 years old]. So it's just a start for his career. He gave us good touches, he played inside, he played outside. He played Anton through on the 1-0 goal. So, I'm happy with him and looking forward to the future."
On the second goal to kill off the game...
"That's very important because there was always a chance they would get one big chance, or two. If it's only 1-0, then you can lose points in the end there. I felt we were in full control all the time. We were good at defensive marking. We didn't give them anything. When we got the second, I was very comfortable that we were going to win the game because the discipline and the hard work was in the boys. They wanted to keep going so I'm happy with the performance."
New York City FC Goalkeeper Sean Johnson
On Jesus and Taty this season...
"Those guys are flying right now. More importantly, those guys are working extremely hard for the team. The amount of kilometers they are putting in every game tracking back, they don't get enough credit for what they do off the ball as well. Obviously attacking [they're] great talents, but for me it's a defensive effort, pressing, working together. Those two and Maxi have been tremendous working for us and we going to need that moving forward if we're going to be successful."
New York City FC Defender Sebastien Ibeagha
What direction Ronny gave after the Philadelphia red card...
"It was pretty much the same. We had a plan, and with them having a full squad or down the man, it was kind of the same. They're a very good counter attacking team and we didn't want to jam the ball down the middle. So it was about playing the ball wide and then inside. We just stuck to the same game plan and them losing a man didn't really change that much."
