
Northern Conference Playoff Race Heating Up

TULSA, OK- The annual "Skate With the Oilers Night" that was scheduled for Wednesday night has been canceled due to problems with the ice at the Oilers Ice Center the Tulsa Oilers have announced. The event has not been rescheduled.
The Oilers will continue their quest for a CHL playoff berth tomorrow night when they host the Indianapolis Ice at 7:05. The top four teams in the Northern Conference will qualify for postseason play, with the two division winners receiving an automatic bid.
The Ice (39-14-7) have clinched the Northeast Division title and lead the Northern Conference with 85 points. The Oklahoma City Blazers (36-19-5) lead the Northwest Division and presently hold the Number two seed in the Northern Conference with 77 points. The Amarillo Rattlers (36-22-2) and the Memphis RiverKings (35-21-4) are tied for the final two Northern Conference spots with 74 points apiece.
The Oilers (34-21-5) and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (32-20-9) are both currently on the outside looking in with 73 points apiece.
Tickets for tomorrow night's game are available at local Drug Marts, the Tulsa Convention Center Box Office, the Oilers office, or by phone at 584-2000.
