Coming Up This Week – The Saints finish out their inaugural season with four games this week. Tuesday the Saints host Austin, with home games against Odessa and Corpus Christi Friday and Saturday. The season ends with a road game at Lubbock on Sunday.

Week In Review – The Saints went 1-2-1 this week with a home shoot-out loss to Corpus Christi, a road loss at Lubbock, a home loss to Lubbock and a road win over New Mexico.

March 4th / Corpus Christi 4 - San Angelo 3 (SO) / The Rayz led 2-1 after the 1st period and 3-1 early in the 2nd period before the Saints fought back to tie it on Trevor Weisgerber's goal with less than a minute left in the 2nd period. After a scoreless 3rd period and overtime, Cosmo Dupaul scored the winning goal in the shootout as the Saints could not muster a single goal against Brent Belecki.

March 6th / San Angelo 2 - Lubbock 4 / Two power play goals put Lubbock up 2-0 early in the 2nd period before the Saints got on the board on Troy Mann's 14th power play goal of the season. Trevor Weisgerber also scored a power play goal in the 3rd period to bring the Saints to within 3-2 with about 6 minutes remaining. But, as the Saints pulled their goalie in the last minute – Lubbock popped an empty netter to seal the 4-2 win.

March 7th / Lubbock 6 - San Angelo 3 / A lackluster early effort got the Saints down by as much as 6-1 by the end of the 2nd period. But, when coach Brent Scott was ejected it seemed to spur the team on and the Saints dominated the 3rd period with goals scored by Steve Roberts and Trevor Weisgerber. Lubbock outshot the Saints 40-26 for the game.

March 8th / San Angelo 6 - New Mexico 3 / San Angelo saved their week and finally played the spoiler role against someone as they jumped out early and beat the Scorpions in front of a huge crowd at the Tingley Coliseum. Jarett Metz and Steve Roberts each scored twice and goalie Bryce Wandler put on a clinic in the net with 46 saves for the victory. Jason Abel and Kori Davison also added goals for the Saints. Matt Frick (3A), Brad Cook (2A) and Trevor Weisgerber (2A) also had multi-point games.

Playoff Picture – The Saints had several chances to play spoiler this week, but dropped a game to Corpus Christi and two to Lubbock. Finally, on Sunday, the Saints put a major dent in New Mexico's playoff hopes with a 6-3 win. Corpus Christi and Lubbock are currently tied for the final playoff spot with 63 points, while New Mexico has 61. Lubbock and New Mexico both have a game in hand over Corpus Christi.

Injury Report – Forwards Jeff Cheeseman and Jan Jas remain on injured reserve. Defenseman Corri Moffat should return to the Saints line-up this week after taking a puck to the head in last Tuesday's game against Corpus Christi.
