
Nine Former Rockets Competing in NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

While the Kelowna Rockets season may have come to an end this past weekend, there are still plenty of former and current Rockets in action this spring.
A total of nine former Rockets players will be competing in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, while thirteen players who have worn the Ogopogo will be competing in the AHL's 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs features 16 teams in eight best-of-7 series, which start Monday.

Rockets playing in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
Edmonton Oilers (3) - Leon Draisaitl, Tyson Barrie, Duncan Keith
Calgary Flames (2) - Mikael Backlund, Dillon Dube
Los Angeles Kings (1) - Alexander Edler
Dallas Stars (1) - Jamie Benn
Tampa Bay Lightning (1) - Cal Foote
Nashville Predators (1) - Colton Sissons
Draisaitl, Barrie and Keith's Edmonton Oilers will faceoff against Alexander Edler's Los Angeles Kings in the opening round of the playoffs. Meanwhile Backlund and Dube's Calgary Flames will face Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars. Cal Foote and the Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, while Colton Sissons and the Predators will look to take down the Colorado Avalanche.

Stockton Heat (2): Justin Kirkland, Tyrell Goulbourne
Henderson Silver Knights (2): Kaedan Korczak, Gage Quinney
Abbotsford Canucks (2): Devante Stephens, Madison Bowey
Rockford IceHogs (1): Colton Dach
Utica Comets (1): Nolan Foote
Charlotte Checkers (1): Carsen Twarynski
Hershey Bears (1): Lucas Johansen
The 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs also start on Monday. Twenty-three teams qualified for the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs - all but the bottom two in each of the AHL's four divisions. The first round series are best-of-three, the division semifinals and division finals are best-of-five, and the conference finals and Calder Cup Finals will be best-of-seven.
