NHL's Edmonton Oilers Reassign Defenseman Maslonka to Dayton

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers announced today that the NHL's Edmonton Oilers have reassigned defenseman Milan Maslonka to Dayton.

Maslonka, 22, has played in 27 games this season for the Stockton Thunder, where he has picked up two assists and 59 penalty minutes. The third-year professional has played the last two seasons with the Central Hockey League's Youngstown Steelhounds, where in a combined 84 games he was whistled for 430 PIM.

Standing 6-feet-7-inches and weighing in at 245 pounds, the Slovakian native is currently the tallest player in the ECHL.

"He's got a big, physical presence on the ice," Bombers head coach Bill McDonald said. "Milan is a young player with good energy that will fit right into our line up."

The Bombers are on the road this week for games on Tuesday and Wednesday at Elmira, then Friday at Trenton and Saturday at Johnstown.
