
NHL Veteran D Mark Fayne Assigned to Condors; Nikitin Recalled

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced today that D Mark Fayne has been assigned to the team by the Edmonton Oilers (NHL). Fayne brings 340 games of NHL experience to Bakersfield over the past six seasons. In other transactions, D Nikita Nikitin has been recalled by the Oilers and C Alexis Loiseau has been assigned to Norfolk (ECHL).
FAYNE - (28 years old, 6'3", 212 lbs., Nashua, New Hampshire)
Has played 340 games in the NHL over the past six seasons, including making a Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2012 with the New Jersey Devils
Played in 24 games with Edmonton this season after appearing in 74 a season ago in his first campaign with the Oilers
Best offensive season came in 2011-12 with New Jersey, posting four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 82 games
Played his college hockey for Providence College from 2006-2010 NIKITIN
Had nine points (1g-8a) in 14 games with the Condors and was on a five-game point streak at the time of his recall LOISEAU
Under AHL contract with the Condors; registered three points (1g-2a) in 12 games with Bakersfield
