The Newfoundland Regiment have acquired forward Justin Larose from the Drummondville Voltigeurs in exchange for a 2026 1st Round Pick (CHI) & a 2027 3rd Round Pick (NFL).

Larose, 20, is a University of Michigan commit, opting to play his overage year in the QMJHL for the 2025-26 season. The St-Lazare, Quebec native split time between Drummondville and the Victoriaville Tigres last season where he amassed a collective 61 points (26 G, 35 A) in 63 games played.

In his major junior career to date, Larose has racked up 180 points across four seasons in the league, largely suiting up for the Tigres.

Newfoundland send a first rounder in 2026, originally owned by the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, to Drummondville as well as the Regiment's third round selection for the 2027 draft.

Training camp is set to open in mid-August while puck drop on the inaugural season of Newfoundland Regiment hockey is set for September 18 as the reigning champion Moncton Wildcats visit the Mary Brown's Centre on opening night.

Limited season tickets and 8/16 game packages still remain while Regiment fans can also sign up for our single game waitlist to ensure first access to tickets for each individual home game across the 2025/26 season.
