New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls host Atlantic Cup rival D.C. United this weekend in the final matchup of the regular season. Kickoff on Sunday, September 11 is set for 1 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN, Watch ESPN, and Red Bulls Radio.
The New York Red Bulls will hold a moment of silence pregame to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001. The organization will add several elements to the match, including honoring first responders to both the Pentagon and World Trade Centers, and donating game-worn jerseys and warm up shirts to The New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund, among other gestures.
New York extended its unbeaten streak to a franchise-record ten games last weekend with a 1-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place. New York is on a four-game winning streak in its last four MLS home matches as part of the ten-game streak. The Red Bulls are 10-2-1 at home this season, the fifth-straight season New York has won 10 or more games at home. The Red Bulls have won 10+ home contests in six of the seven seasons Red Bull Arena has been open.
