New York Red Bulls Earn 2-2 Draw in Houston, Extend MLS Unbeaten Streak To Four Games

OUSTON, TX "" MLS Golden Boot leader Bradley Wright-Phillips scored twice as the New York Red Bulls played to a 2-2 draw with the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on Friday night. The tie extended New York's current MLS unbeaten streak to four games (1-0-3) and improved its record to 4-5-8 (20 pts.), while Houston moved to 5-10-3 (18 pts.).

After falling behind in the first minute of action, Wright-Phillips found the back of the net in the 13th minute to level the score. The Englishman then headed home his second goal of the night and 14th of the season in the 71st minute to give New York a 2-1 lead. However, Brad Davis would tie the game for Houston from the penalty spot after Chris Duvall was called for a controversial hand ball in the box in the 82nd minute.

The Red Bulls return to action on Saturday, July 12, at 7:00 ET when the Columbus Crew visits Red Bull Arena. The match will be televised on MSG+ with coverage starting at 6:30 PM.
