HOUSTON (Friday, July 4, 2014) - The Houston Dynamo host the New York Red Bulls tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium on Armed Forces Appreciation Night, presented by Direct Energy. A very limited quantity of tickets is available at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling 713-276-GOAL, or by visiting the BBVA Compass Stadium box office (2200 Texas St., Houston).

Tonight's game will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and 850 AM (Spanish).

The Dynamo are 5-10-2 (17 points) and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Red Bulls (4-5-7; 19 points) are tied for fifth place in the East.

Houston and New York staged an epic Eastern Conference semifinal series last November, with the Dynamo prevailing 4-3 on aggregate. The Dynamo erased deficits in both legs of the series, including a 2-0 halftime disadvantage in the first leg at home.

Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis returned to the club on Thursday after playing in the World Cup in Brazil. Davis is expected to be available for selection tonight.

Tonight is Armed Forces Appreciation Night, presented by Direct Energy, and will include postgame fireworks. For the second-consecutive year, goalkeeper Tally Hall and Davis will honor members of the U.S. Armed Forces through their joint effort, Brad and Tally's Banded Brigade. Partial proceeds from special ticket packages for the game will benefit Banded Brigade Outdoors, a non-profit 501(c)(3) created by Davis and Hall that provides morale-boosting events, such as hunting and fishing trips, for disabled veterans.

All branches of the U.S. Armed Forces will participate in pregame ceremonies, including the national anthem. In addition, the Texas Army National Guard will hold a swearing-in ceremony at halftime. Finally, all branches of the Armed Forces will be present at Dynamo Soccer Fest on Rusk Street before the game.

The Red Bulls won the 2013 MLS Supporters' Shield with the best regular season record. New York features striker Thierry Henry, France's all-time leading scorer who registered 10 goals and nine assists last season. The Red Bulls also feature Australian international Tim Cahill, who scored two goals at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil last month. Cahill was also named to the MLS Best XI list last season. Additionally, English striker Bradley Wright-Phillips leads MLS with 12 goals this season.

Following tonight's game, the Dynamo travel to face Toronto FC on July 12.
