Chivas USA Midfielder Martin Rivero to Undergo Knee Surgery

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 4, 2014) - Chivas USA midfielder Martin Rivero suffered a tear to the ACL of his right knee during the club's 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday, June 28. Rivero will have surgery to repair the injury at a date yet to be determined. Additional information on the prognosis will be provided at a later time.

Chivas USA are now set to host the Montreal Impact on Saturday night at the StubHub Center as the Red-and-White embark in their third game in eight days. The interconference match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (PT) and will be televised on Time Warner Cable Deportes. Radio listeners can also catch the action on ESPN Deportes Radio KWKU 1220 AM.
