
New York Falls Short in Leg Two, Ends in Scoreless Draw with Chivas

The New York Red Bulls and Club Deportivo Guadalajara finished in a scoreless draw in the second leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinal on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena. Chivas advanced to the championship round, 1-0 on aggregate.
New York will look ahead to league play with a home match against Montreal on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
Goalkeeper Luis Robles recorded his third shutout of SCCL and fifth of the year. Of Robles' five clean sheets, four have come at Red Bull Arena.
New York held advantages in every category over Chivas, in shots, 20-1, shots on target, 9-0, corners, 6-3 and possession, 52.8 percent to 47.2 percent.
The Red Bulls opened up the match with their 10th different starting XI this season.
In six matches in SCCL play, New York allowed just three goals.
It was just the third time in 10 matches that the Red Bulls were held scoreless this year.
