New Haven County Cutters News Release

Wiffleball players both young and old, competitive and leisurely will have the chance to play on the same field that baseball legends Babe Ruth, Lou Gherig, Derek Jeter and countless others have played on as part of the 1st annual Big League WIFFLEball Tournament at Historic Yale Field in West Haven, CT.

The tournament will take place on Saturday August 25th, 2007 and will consist of 60-80 teams of two to five players each from eight different states across the northeast including Connecticut. A minimum age of 16 is required to play.

The entry fee for the tournament is $100 per team and will guarantee teams three games in the tournament with the chance to advance further for prizes. Teams will also get a T-shirt commemorating the day's event.

Concessions will be available throughout the day as well as the Kids Fun Zone, live music and numerous other activities including raffles for Cutters autographed memorabilia.

This is a great opportunity for WIFFLEball fans to come out for a day of fun, competition and excitement at one of the countries oldest and most historic ball parks.
